In My Mailbox [1]: Walmart.com

So I thought I'd do a quick post about something books that I recently ordered and received through walmart.com. I plan for this blog to be more focused on reviews of books when I finish them, but decided that some may enjoy seeing what I've picked up, since reviews will probably follow at some point of these. So here are the books I ordered and the prices I paid through walmart.com

1. Carpe Corpus by Rachel Caine ($5.00)
    So this is the sixth book in the Morganville Vampires series that I have been loving and the cheapest I have been able to find it for.

2. Fade Out by Rachel Caine ($5.00)
    And this is the seventh book in the series. Picked it up at well since these are quick reads.

3. Vampire Academy Collection by Richelle Mead ($15.00)
   Have been wanting to give this series a shot, so when I saw the first THREE books in this series for this great price, I decided to pick it up as well.

Reviews for these are very likely, but comment and let me know if there is one you really would like to hear about.

'City of Bones' by Cassandra Clare

So I just finished reading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare the other night and thought it'd be a good book to start off my reviews on. Now I am not going to give a summary of the book or even post what the back of the book says. I am not doing this mainly because we all pretty much know what this is about and if not, that summary can easily be found online. Instead I am going to go straight into my review.

To be honest, I didn't really like this book for about the first two hundred or so pages, but luckily it picked up and I ended up enjoying it. I think the main reason I was turned off was because of Clary, I found her to be very annoying and argumentative in the beginning. I also didn't find much about her personality to relate to, something I need to feel connected to a character.

After I got over my problems with Clary I really started to enjoy the book and by the end wanted to go out and grab the next.

I would recommend this to anyone that is interested in the sci-fi type novels, since it heavily involves another 'side' of our world, filled with Shadowhunters, demons, werewolves, vampires, and much more.

Overall rating: 4 / 5 stars

Hey!

Hello =]

So I just created this blog to do reviews on one of my favorite pastimes, reading. I usually read mainly young adult novels, so that is what this blog will focus on, with a little bit of others thrown in for good measure.

So keep an eye out for reviews in the near future.
